- SCIF Raingarden Annual Maintenance
- Date: Friday, April 6, 2012
- Times: 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM
- Notes: Our group has constructed several sustainable rain gardens around campus and they have been a huge success–now we need to trim back the shrubs and
make them look nice for Graduation. Meet at the rain garden on the South Side of the
HEDCO building. After an hour of work, Dinner
and beverages will be served promptly at 5.

- Science Olympiad Championship: Awesome Aquifers Volunteer Opportunity

- Times: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Notes: The University of Utah will be hosting the State Competition for the Science Olympiad competition that will be held on Saturday, April 14th. (Information on the Event can be found here: http://soinc.org/). The Civil & Environmental Engineering Department will be hosting the Awesome Aquifers event and we need help!
We need 6-8 people to help between 8am and 3:30pm. Students can sign up for shifts or attend the entire day. If you cannot attend the whole day the shifts are 8:00 - 11:15 am and 11:00 am - 3:45 pm. If you would like to volunteer to help run the event or find out more about what help is needed please contact Tiffany. You can stop by her office or email her at pannier@civil.utah.edu. Thank you!

- Bio-Retention Build Project
- Date: Monday - Friday, March 12 - 16, 2012
- Times: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Notes: The group decided to pitch in a hand and help out Graduate student John Heiberger build a large bio-retention garden on campus (south of the Humanities building). The project was a huge effort but also a huge success. Thanks everyone for your help!!
- Design Build Bluff Project Planning Meeting
- Date: Thursday, November 17, 2011, 3:00 - 4:00 PM
- Notes: This meeting was an information and project planning meeting for our collaboration on the annual College of Architecture Design and Build Bluff Project. The collaboration will culminate in a working spring break project, building the designed structure. Be sure to check out their website here. - EWB Nepal Water Supply Project Kickoff Meeting
- Date: Thursday, November 17, 2011, 2:00 - 3:00 PM
- Notes: This meeting was a great kick off to the combined effort between EWB and AWRA-WEF to help build a much needed pipeline in rural Nepal. Information was exchanged and assignments were made, we look forward to our next meeting!

- Info: The chapter was awarded the prestigious Outstanding Student Chapter of the Year Award, presented by the National AWRA board. This award was earned largely in part because of the two rain gardens that were constructed the previous year.
